Following a complaint lodged by her family, Capital Police registered a missing person case and initiated a thorough investigation. Her father has also met with the Twin City Police Commissioner, requesting immediate efforts to locate his daughter.

Originally hailing from Paradip, Shubhamitra was posted in Bhubaneswar and serving as a traffic constable at the time of her disappearance. Family members are deeply concerned and have appealed to authorities for swift action.

Police are exploring multiple leads, and efforts are underway to trace her whereabouts. As days pass with no contact, concern among the traffic constables’ colleagues and family members continues to grow.

Shubhamitra has left her mobile phone at her rented house in Surya Nagar. The probe team has seized the phone and is verifying the Call Detail Record (CDR).

Besides, on the intervening day, she came to her duty at about 10.00 AM and her duty ended at around 7.00 PM. However, she did not return home after her duty was over. She has gone missing since then, an FIR lodged by her family mentioned.

“For the last time, she came (to her duty) in the morning. She was supposed to go home at 2.00 PM to have her lunch, but had not gone. I do not know her whereabouts as I was not present. I rely on the Department and hope they will do the needful,” Shubhamitra’s father expressed to mediapersons after meeting the Police Commissioner.
