The thrilling 2022 FIFA World Cup match between Argentina and France had fans hold their breath for almost the whole game as it turned out to be one of the most enthralling encounters ever.

The Messi-led team looked better in the first half until France star Kylian Mbappe scored 2 goals in 2 minutes and changed the course of the whole game in the 80th and 81st minute.

The nail-biting rollercoaster game continued as Messi and Mbappe scored one each in the extra-time too. However, France could have taken a lead through Randal Kolo, but thanks to the terrific save by Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez.

Martinez fortunately made a stunning effort and saved Argentina from the loss. The awesome save also got Martinez his Golden Glove for being the best goalkeeper in the tournament.

However, a video of him making obscene gestures with the Golden Globe Award is now going viral on social media platforms. The star performer of the FIFA World Cup made the gesture at the presentation podium after getting the award.

In the viral video, Martinez can be seen holding the Golden Glove in front of his crotch. While it might be a joke from the star goalkeeper, many social media users took offence considering the occasion.

On the other hand, some of the biggest FIFA and Qatar officials were present at the podium during his lewd gesture. Many fans are of the opinion that he should have avoided such lewd gesture while others mentioned that it was a joke and in the spur of the moment.

Meanwhile, Martinez admitted that he could’ve dreamed of winning the World Cup in this manner.

“Two crappy shots and France levelled. They give them another penalty, and they scored. Thank God later I did my thing, what I dreamed of,” said Martinez to Reuters.

"It was a very complicated match, they came back to equalise in the game but it was our destiny to suffer. All that I have dreamed of has been achieved. I have no words for it. I was calm during the penalty shoot-out, and everything went as we wanted. I left very young for England. I dedicate this victory to all my family,” he further stated.
