As part of its strategy for the 2024 big game, the State unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday convened an important meeting at the party office in Bhubaneswar. While workers from all 12 parliamentary constituencies took part in the meeting, the party’s State president Samir Mohanty presided over it.

The meeting was held in the presence of National BJP secretary Harish Dwivedi.

The party’s poor performance in 2019 general elections and its debacle in the parliamentary constituencies have been the focus of the saffron party.

While MPs will be in charge of these constituencies, Union ministers will visit the areas at regular intervals.  A blue print is being prepared to make the party’s win in 2024 general elections sure and strengthen the party’s base in the grassroots level.

Another brain-storming session of BJP functionaries will be held today afternoon to discuss on topics to be passed on the State executive committee meeting tomorrow.

“Today is the first day of the State executive committee meeting. The State party functionaries will meet today afternoon. The meeting will decide on the topics to be discussed at the executive committee meeting tomorrow. The proposals will then be placed at a meeting of  district presidents and ‘prabharis’ in the evening,” informed general secretary, BJP, Golak Mohapatra.

“In the meeting, proposals to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi for nominating Draupadi Murmu as its Presidential candidate and hiking minimum support price (MSP) for paddy will come. This apart, the party will decide the plan of action for the coming three months through a proposal.
