A delegation of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday met Odisha Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) accusing the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) of distributing money to voters under the guise of meeting of SHG groups as part of its strategies to woo voters ahead of Dhamnagar bypoll.
Majhi attributed the spread of the disease to intake of contaminated water and lack of nutritious food.
The party’s poor performance in 2019 general elections and its debacle in the parliamentary constituencies have been the focus of the saffron party.
On June 21 and 22, there will be several programmes in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. BJP national general secreatry (organisation) B L Santosh will analyse the process of survey and review of the party’s organisational conditions, informed Harichandan.
“There will be special programmes at all 36 organisational districts in 30 districts to mark the celebration of 8 years of Narandra Modi government at the Centre,” said BJP leader Pradeep Purohit.
BJP spokesperson Satyabrat Panda in press meet said, “Odisha has witnessed the highest-ever coal production in the country. Odisha had set a production target of 168 million tonne in March 2022. Thus, the government’s duty should be to provide nonstop electricity at suitable price. Instead of doing that, the government is burdening its people by making them pay inflated bills."
