Senior BJP leader and Bargarh MP Suresh Pujari on Monday raised the sensational murder case of Odisha Health Minister Naba Kisore Das in Lok Sabha.

“Today, I want to bring to the notice that the Odisha’s Health Minister Naba Das was shot dead by an Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police on January 29. Das was also the local MLA and even though 15-days have passed, the Crime Branch is yet to reveal the exact motive behind the murder,” said Pujari.

Pujari also said that the Odisha government is taking help of the Centre only for conducting the Narco analysis and polygraph test of the accused. But the government is afraid of a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

“Nothing will emerge out of the Crime Branch investigation. There is a need to conduct a probe to ascertain the motive behind the murder of Naba Das. Hence, I request the Union Government for a CBI probe,” Pujari added.

Earlier in the day, a senior official of Odisha Police Crime Branch informed that during the Narco test, the accused ASI Gopal Das has revealed everything which led to the murder of minister Naba Das.

On the other hand, senior Congress leader Bijay Patnaik also made an explosive statement by stating that the accused ASI might not be the killer.
