Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on Monday reviewed the performance of different departments and directed the officials to prepare plans so that the promises made in the party’s manifesto can be fulfilled. 

After the Chief Minister’s meetings with the officials of Home, Finance, Water Resources and Planning and Coordination departments, Chief Secretary Pradeep Jena briefed the journalists. 

“The Chief Minister met the officers of Home, Finance, Water Resources and Planning and Coordination departments in phases. During the meeting, the secretaries of the concerned departments introduced their officers to the Chief Minister and apprised him of how their departments function,” said Jena.

“The Chief Minister suggested to all departments that they should ponder and bring in changes in the pro-people yojanas so that the benefits of the yojanas reach out to people. He also advised them to work with an aim to take the programmes to grassroots level expeditiously,” he added. 

While briefing journalists, Development Commissioner Anu Garg said, “Since the Chief Minister is also the minister of our department (Water Resources), our officers and I paid a courtesy visit to him. During the meeting, our officers briefed him on how our department functions. He said his government gives importance to farmers and advised us to make water available to them and to complete the projects in time.”
