In good news for wildlife lovers, Chandaka Sanctuary on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar will soon be starting night safari for visitors.

The nocturnal trail will start at Bharatpur Safari from January 29.

According to an official report, the night safari will remain open till 9:30pm every day for the visitors who find it difficult to spare time in the day to visit the sanctuary.

Speaking about the development, Odisha Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) Susanta Nanda said, “The safari will particularly benefit students and research scholars. They can actually study the nocturnal animals which do not come out during the daytime.”

“Many people are facing difficulties in enjoying the safari at Chandaka Wildlife Sanctuary in the daytime due to their busy work schedule. These people can now enjoy the safari at night. The visitors can watch wild animals like deer, wild boars, and elephants during the night safari,” he added.

The safari will remain closed from 9:30pm till 9:30am.
