The highly anticipated collaboration between Mahesh Babu and director SS Rajamouli for SSMB29 is adding another superstar to its roster – Nagarjuna.

As per an OTT Play report, Nagarjuna, whose last role in the mythological fantasy adventure Brahmāstra: Part One—Shiva won praise from the audience, is set to collaborate on the ambitious project by the RRR director.

While there is no official confirmation yet, insiders reveal that Nagarjuna will play a significant role in the mythological adventure film, joining forces with Mahesh Babu.

After the success of RRR, SS Rajamouli is set to helm another epic venture with SSMB29, rumoured to draw inspiration from the Ramayana.

Vijayendra Prasad, the film's scriptwriter and Rajamouli's father disclosed in an interview that SSMB29 will be a globetrotting action adventure, evoking emotions reminiscent of Steven Spielberg's Raiders of the Lost Ark. The film is anticipated to have an open-ended climax, leaving room for potential sequels.

Scheduled to commence filming in the summer of 2024, SSMB29 is slated for a grand multilingual release in 2025, boasting an ensemble cast. The movie's shooting locations include the forests of Africa and Europe, contributing to the visual spectacle.

While the film is currently in its pre-production stage, Mahesh Babu is reportedly undergoing physical training in Germany under the guidance of Dr. Harry König. Sources suggest that Babu's character will embody traits akin to Ramayana’s Lord Hanuman, showcasing strength and resilience in challenging forest conditions.
The combination of powerhouse talents, an intriguing mythological premise, and SS Rajamouli’s directorial prowess make SSMB29 a much-anticipated cinematic spectacle.
