Ranbir Kapoor fans plan trend against Love and War; urge netizens to sign petition against the SLB movie; Here's why

Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal have been roped in by Sanjay Leela Bhansali to star in his epic love story Love and War. The movie is supposedly inspired by the cult classic Sangam which featured Raj Kapoor , Rajendra Kumar, and Vyjayanthimala in a love triangle.

While most of the fans of these three actors welcomed the announcement from SLB banners happily, now a group of Ranbir Kapoor fans is trying to come up with a petition urging the famous filmmaker to halt the production of this movie. The petition that is promoting “Shelve Love and War” is making rounds on social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

One of the social media users who is promoting this campaign to shelve the upcoming movie in his disclaimer has said that they do not have any issues with Alia Bhatt on a personal level and understand the nature of her relationship with Ranbir Kapoor and the sanctity of their marriage.

The group has listed a few reasons why they do not want SLB to come up with Love and War. Firstly, fans of Ranbir believe that the film is like an old wine in a new bottle with the same hackneyed cliché storyline in which Pati is in Fauj, and Patni in Mauj cheating and lying. They do not want to see Ranbir doing such a movie with such a plot and that is already giving the vibes of Bombay Velvet and Saawariya combined.

Secondly, even though this film has a big budget it lacks the potential that Animal Park or Ramayana has in which Ranbir Kapoor is playing strong leads. The fans of the Shamshera actor believe that it will be a step-down for their favourite star if he does Love and War whereas it is going to be a win-win situation for Vicky Kaushal who is yet to have a double-figure solo opening or even for Alia Bhatt and Sanjay Leela Bhansali .
