The highly anticipated sequel to Prashanth Neel's blockbuster Salaar is gearing up for production, with South stars Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran set to commence shooting in June. Following the success of Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire, which debuted in December last year alongside Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki, the stage is set for the next chapter in this action-packed saga.

According to Hindustan Times, Salaar Part 2 has received the green light from the makers, with production slated to begin in June. Director Prashanth Neel, buoyed by the feedback and response to the first instalment, has meticulously crafted the script to capture his vision on screen.

The journey of Salaar 2 is set to kick off in Chennai and Hyderabad, with the first schedule spanning 15 days and focusing on intense action sequences. Prashanth Neel aims to elevate the stakes with the sequel, promising a riveting blend of action, emotions, and drama.

Salaar 2 will delve deeper into the conflict between Prabhas and Prithviraj's characters, amplifying the tension and intrigue established in the first instalment. The sequel is poised to deliver another adrenaline-fuelled cinematic experience for audiences.

Reportedly, the makers are eyeing a Christmas release in 2025, mirroring the timing of the first film's release. Neel plans to wrap up principal photography this year, allowing ample time for post-production and final touches in the lead-up to the release.

Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire, featuring a stellar cast including Shruti Haasan, Tinnu Anand, Jagapathi Babu, and Madhu Guruswamy, captivated audiences with its tale of friendship turning into enmity and its impact on the fictional realm of Khansaar.
