Hrithik Roshan is one of the most prolific and versatile actors in Bollywood. Popularly known as the “Greek God” of the Indian movie industry, in his long career the Krrish actor has worked in different Joyner and proved his mettle.
However, there was a special movie titled “Super 30” that was based on the life of Anand Kumar, the Indian mathematics educator who established an entirely different pattern of training students for leading competitive exams.
As Hrithik Roshan turns 50 today, here is an exclusive insight into the times when he was so overwhelmed with the script of Super 30 that he broke into tears. Narrating his reaction to hearing the script from the writer Sanjeev Dutta, Hrithik in an interview with Komal Nahata said that the moment he heard the script he reacted in a second.
The Bollywood superstar said that his reaction was not something like I will do the film but rather I will have to do this film. He added that if anyone had put a gun on his head and asked him not to do the movie, he still would have done Super 30.
Hrithik Roshan said, “The script impacted me so much. Rather itna impact hua iss script ka ki do tin din ke baad maine socha yaar I could be wrong.” That is why he once again asked Sanjeev Dutta to narrate the script and his reaction to it was once again the same. Hrithik said, “I could not stop my tears and my reaction. Main ro raha tha. In the end, I could not talk because I was so overwhelmed. Kyunki somewhere I identified with his (Anand Kumar) journey so much. I did not know why.”
The Fighter actor said that he felt as if somebody who was hopeless was trying to give him some hope. He believed that the story made small children hope and dream as they too can come true. While Super 30 was not as successful as Hrithik Roshan’s other movies, but still established one fact the superstar is open to experiments and given the chance can do much more than dance, romance, and action.
