IAS Ishwarya Ramanathan
IAS Ishwarya Ramanathan, one of the youngest IAS officers in India is an inspiration for many. With All India Rank 47 in 2019 UPSC Civil services exam, the young bureaucrat who became an IAS officer at the age of 24 is an epitome of hard work and determination.
Currently posted as Sub-Collector Ponneri, Thiruvallur, Tamil Nadu, it was the childhood dream of Ishwarya to become an IAS officer. It was Ishwarya’s mother who wanted to see her daughter become a Collector, although she was just another girl with no knowledge and responsibility of being an IAS officer.
Hailing from coastal district of Cuddalore, Ishwarya has been witness of several natural disasters like flood, cyclones and heavy rainfall. However, the 2004 Tsunami disaster changed her life. IAS Gagandeep Singh Bedi who was posted as the District Collector during Tsunami inspired Ishwarya with his way of handling the crises.
After passing out in 2017 from Anna University Chennai, Ishwarya started her UPSC journey although she was preparing during her college days. However, the journey from being a girl to becoming an IAS officer wasn’t a bed of roses for Ishwarya.
Taking to her YouTube channel, Ishwarya often breaks down her preparation journey for her followers. Watch the video below to know the timetable followed by Ishwarya to crack India’s toughest exam.
She also pasted several motivational quotes to keep up her spirit and to never give up. She followed the quote, “Work Hard Until Lamp Light Of Your Study Table Becomes Spot Light Of Stage,” during her preparation journey.
