Court orders tailor in UP to compensate for 'ill-fitting clothes'

The court has directed tailor Iftikhar Ansari, owner of Silco Tailors, to refund the tailoring charges of Rs 720 along with interest, Rs 1,500 as the cost of cloth, Rs 5,000 as litigation costs, and another Rs 5,000 for harassment to the consumer for stitching an 'ill-fitting kurta pyjama'.

Youth Attacks Mo Bus With Iron Rod

A youth reportedly attacked the ‘Mo Bus’ vehicle along with its driver on Thursday. The incident was reported from Sunderpada-Jatani road on Mo Bus route 22A. The driver was reportedly injured in the incident. While the reason behind the attack is yet to be ascertained, a complaint has been filed with Pipili Police.

Fire In Shop At Bhubaneswar Market Building

A store within the Market Building complex in Bhubaneswar reportedly caught fire last evening (Thursday). No one was hurt in the incident, but the fire is said to have damaged property worth lakhs. To extinguish the fire, four fire tenders were pressed in to service. Within a few hours, the firefighters extinguished all of the flames. Short circuit within an AC compressor unit is suspected to be the cause of the fire.
