The announcement of the final application status for eligible candidates who will appear for the RRC group D recruitment examination has been postponed by the Indian Railways. Rejected applicants demanding review is said to be the main cause behind the delay.
The final decision was supposed to be notified by August 31 but now it has been postponed to be announced on September 6, according to the latest notification by RRB.
The candidates had complained that their application got rejected on the basis of photograph or signature not adhering to the prescribed standards, which they claimed was wrong. The candidates got a final chance to raise their objections against their cancellation of application between August 17 to August 23.
It is pertinent to mention that the delay in resolution of issues of application status is also leading to delay in the commencement of the selection process. The tentative schedule for the computer-based test for RRC Group D recruitment is September and October 2019 but Indian Railways is yet to announce any final date.
Earlier in February, Indian Railways had announced 1,03,769 Group D vacancies. The application process for which took place in the months of March and April.
