It might look like cheela to you, but it’s an amazing recipe that you can have for breakfast for sure. This pancake can be made in just five minutes. 

All you need is chopped radish and some basic kitchen ingredients to make this recipe. So, what are you waiting for? Let’s get into the kitchen and try this Odia-style Mula Pitha (Pancake).

Ingredient required

  1. Rice used to make pancakes (white rice)
  2. Radish
  3. Chopped onion
  4. Chopped curry leaves
  5. Chopped coriander leaves

How to make

  1. Wash the rice used for pancakes and dry it. After it becomes completely dry, grind it and keep it aside.
  2. Bring 2-3 radishes, wash them before peeling them and grate them finely.
  3. Mix the grated radish with rice powder and again grind them together.
  4. Mix well and then add chopped onion, chopped coriander leaves, chopped curry leaves, green chillies and salt according to taste.
  5. Whisk well all the ingredients to make a nice pancake batter.
  6. Bring a non-stick pan and put it over medium flame.
  7. Put some oil and add a ladle full of the pancake batter and spread well.
  8. Cook well from both sides until golden brown in colour and your pancake is ready to eat.
  9. Serve hot with sambar and coconut chutney.
