London: Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan has been granted a two-year restraining order against a crazy fan who threatened to kill her.

The 25-year-old was granted the ruling by Los Angeles Superior Court, after she had claimed that, David Cocordan is bombarding her with text messages and showed up at her home with chocolates and in magazine articles he had doctored to make it appear as if they were dating, reported Contactmusic.

"Without a restraining order I fear that there will not be sufficient law enforcement mechanisms to keep Mr Cocordan away from me, or those around me," Lohan had previously said.

The Mean Girls star also signed a declaration claiming he had called or texted her more than 100 times to express "delusional thoughts and irrational feelings about his belief that he and Lohan are in a relationship".

Detective in the Threat Management Department looked into Cocordan and discovered he suffers from schizophrenia. He is off his medication and has a "significant psychiatric history of acting on his delusional beliefs".

Recently, Lohan claimed Cocordan had claimed to kill her and even posted a picture of him on her Twitter page in the grounds of her home, although it was later removed.

"This is the free mason stalker that has been threatening to kill me while he is trespassing! I am actually scared now. All my fans, my supporters, please stand by me (sic)," she wrote on twitter.
