Mumbai: Saif Ali Khan`s latest offering, `Agent Vinod` has been garnering attention more his real-life equation with Kareena Kapoor as against their onscreen pairing in the film, which the actor feels should not be the case.

"People should never come to see off screen couple on screen, they should come to see two actors on screen...they should come to see a director`s film or simply to watch a movie. What is happening behind the scene is supposed to be by the way, the problem is what happens behind the scene between two people becomes important than anything else. Then people`s expectations change and that overshadows everything," Saif told reporters here, on Tuesday evening, at an event.

"So we thought it was sensible to promote the film separately...so let people take the film seriously," he said.

This is third film where Saif and Kareena are sharing screen space, the first two being Aditya Chopra`s `Tashan` (2008) and Karan Johar`s `Kurbaan` (2009). `Agent Vinod`, an action-spy movie would again reunite the couple on reel.

"Sriram (director) has made the film..he has not made this kind of a commercial film ever. I would say watch the movie for Siraram. I feel star cast adds something to the film, but that should not be the reason to watch the film," Saif said. The film directed by Sriram Raghavan is up for release on March 23.
