The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) has scheduled the Railway Junior Engineer (JE) exams in April-May. RRB will conduct the exams for the posts of Junior Engineer, Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant and Depot Material Superintendant. The board will appoint the eligible candidates based on the recruitment process after conducting the exams.

Recently, RRB updated a notification, directing the aspirants to select the exam language. The registered candidates need to login at the official website of RRB and select the exam language option.

The last date for specifying the exam language is May 1, 2019.

RRB JE Exam 2019 Details

RRB will conduct the computer based exams for JE posts. The language options available for the candidates include Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, Gujarati, Odia, Assamese, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri and Urdu.

The candidates can even appear the exams in English language which is set by default.

Considering the issues faced in the last entrance exams, where the contents in regional and English language mismatched, RRB has clarified that, if there is any difference, dispute or discrepancy in the questions between the selected regional language and English, the content available in English language shall prevail.

The candidates failing to enter the language option within the last date, i.e. May 1, 2019, have to appear the exam in the language as entered during the online application submission process.

The candidates for Junior Engineer post will get selected by RRB on the basis of two-stage computer based exam, apart from document verification and medical exam.

As per the job notice, RRB will fix the date, time and venue for the activities involved in the exam. The activities include CBTs and DV or any other additional activity as applicable. The board will intimate the eligible candidates in due course. Request for postponement of any of the above activity or for change of venue, date and shift will not be entertained under any circumstances.
