New Delhi: The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has begun the application process for recruitment of Assistant Professor examination-2017.
The last date to apply for the recruitment is January 24, 2018 whereas correction in the application forms can be made between December 30, 2017 and January 26, 2018.
Aspirants can apply for examination on the official website www.mppsc.nic.in. The application fee for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates of Madhya Pradesh is Rs 500 and Rs 1000 for all other candidates. The fee for correction in application form is Rs. 50 for every correction.
Candidate wishing to apply for the recruitment must have cleared UGC NET or SLET in the subject they are applying for. The recruitment will be conducted under the Higher Education Department of the Madhya Pradesh Government. Recruited candidates will be on a probation for two years.

Eligibility
-Candidate must have completed post-graduation degree with a minimum 55% mark in their respective subjects from a recognized university in India.
-Candidates must also have cleared UGC NET/CSIR NET/SET/SLET.
-Age limit for candidates belonging to Madhya Pradesh should be between 21 and 40 years and for aspirants of other states, it should be between 21 to 28 years. The age will be calculated as on January 1, 2018.

Candidates would be selected on the basis of their performance in an online examination and a personal interview. Candidates qualifying the online exam will be called for the personal interview. The recruitment is for 2968 assistant professors which also includes backlog vacancies and vacancies created due to retirement/promotion, said an official.
