Amid apprehension of scarcity of seats among the recently-passed Class 10 students, the Odisha Government on Monday assured them of smooth and hassle-free enrolment at higher secondary schools and technical institutions.

According to a survey, more than 70 per cent of parents in the country still do not want to send their ward to school. These parents say that schools should not be opened till the coronavirus situation in their areas is completely under control.

The new system has been introduced keeping in view the prevailing COVID conditions and predicaments of students in mind.

Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal on June 25 went live on Twitter and said that the students who are dissatisfied with their Class 10, 12 results can appear for the optional exams in August.
