Rehman was conferred the Dadasaheb Phalke Lifetime Achievement Award for her contributions to Indian cinema. As elegant as ever, she appeared in a cream and golden-coloured saree, and accessorised it with a green necklace and matching earrings, tying her hair in a bun.
Known for films like ‘Guide’, ‘Pyaasa’, ‘Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam’, ‘Delhi-6’, ‘Kaagaz Ke Phool’ and several others, the actress has played countless memorable characters on the celluloid, and has a career spanning almost seven decades.
During the ceremony, Suriya clicked Jyotika’s pictures as she received the award and the actress did the same when her husband received the Best Actor award.
Director Pandiraj also took to Twitter to congratulate Suriya, who shared the Best Actor award with Ajay Devgn ('Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior').
