Bhubaneswar: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav would arrive in the Odisha capital on Thursday afternoon on a two-day visit to the state.
As informed by Samajwadi Party state president Rabi Behera at a press briefing here on Wednesday, Yadav would arrive at the Biju Patnaik International Airport at 5 PM. From there, he would be taken on a procession by the party members to the party’s state headquarters office.
After staying at the party office for an hour, Yadav would leave for the State Secretariat to meet chief minister Naveen Patnaik at 6 PM. Both the chief ministers will have a discussion on the social, cultural and economic aspects of both the states.
This apart, the meeting would also discuss about the shortage of potato in Odisha and steps to overcome the crisis. Notably, Odisha primarily depends on Uttar Pradesh to meet its requirements of potato, onion and dal.
After his meeting with the chief minister, Yadav would leave for Hotel Trident Hilton where he will have a night halt. The UP chief minister is also scheduled to have a meeting with some investors at the hotel.
In the next morning, he will leave for Puri at about 8 AM to have a darshan of Shri Jagannath. From there, he will return to Bhubaneswar to attend a programme at KIIT and KISS at about 2.30 PM before leaving for Lucknow at 5 PM.
