3-day remand of Sura Baba’s eldest son starts today
Bhubaneswar: The thirt time three-day remand Trilochan Mishra, son of self-styled foreteller Surendra Mishra alias Sura Baba, starts from today.
Notably, the Judicial Magistrate First Class court here yesterday allowed the Crime Branch to take Mishra on three-day remand.
Police sources said Trilochan was handling financial transactions of Trahi Achyuta ashram and his father’s properties as well.
“Mishra’s extension of remand will help the police to elicit more information on the father-son trio’s financial mismanagement,” an officer said.
Earlier today after the interrogation of Sura baba and his two sons at CB headquarters in Cuttack they were sent to the JMFC court.
They were grilled in the presence of his chartered accountant regarding the income-tax evasion and other allegations. As per the CB sources, office-bearers from Trahi achutya ashram samiti at Bhadrak and Jajpur district were also called for interrogation.
Meanwhile, the CB team has reached at Mumbai based Trahi achutya ashram to probe the land grabbing allegations by Baba there.
