Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of Odisha Diwas, Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik announced that work will begin on the Odisha@100 vision document to commemorate the first centenary of the formation of Odisha State will begin this year.
While attending the Utkal Dibas celebrations in Bhubaneswar on Friday, Patnaik said that the vision document will be created with an objective to ensure holistic development of Odisha by 2036, when it will complete 100 years of its formation.
While addressing the gathering at the Odisha Diwas celebrations, Patnaik also highlighted the contributions of the sons of the soil in carving out Odisha as a separate province in 1936.
“Odisha Dibas is a matter of pride for all of us and we should all collectively use this occasion to further heighten its glory,” Patnaik said.
Ministers Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak and Ashok Chandra Panda were also present on the occasion in which a special issue of Utkal Prasang and various books were unveiled.
