Mumbai: Writer-director Vijay Acharya Krishna is all charged up about `Dhoom 3`, his second directorial venture after the box-office dud `Tashan`. But he says that his debut film will always hold a special place in his heart.

"`Tashan` is the first film that I directed and it will always be close to me. I believe success and failure are part of life...you should be able to learn from it," Vijay said.

The filmmaker also known as Victor, is the writer of the `Dhoom` series including the upcoming `Dhoom 3`, produced by the Yash Raj banner. The earlier two parts were directed by Sanjay Gadhvi.

"I am very happy directing Dhoom 3. We are in pre-production right now. I like to direct what I write. When I started writing `Dhoom 3` I knew I would be directing it," he said.
