Bhubaneswar/Kendrapara: Following marathon interrogation, the Special Task Force (STF) of Crime Branch today arrested four associates of gangster Tito. Those arrested are among the eight persons detained by the CB after raids at different places in Cuttack yesterday.

The arrested include Golden Papu, Abdullaha, Imtiaz Khan and Jahangir Khan.

According to sources, Abdullah being one of the major aides of Tito, had been carrying out tender fixing and extortion activities on behalf of the criminal.  Abdullah was earlier arrested on charges of involvement in illegal cow trafficking but was out on bail. Similarly, Golden Papu another key aide, was also helping the gangster in organising criminal acts in the city.

Though Tito has been lodged in Barimula jail in Kendrapara, sources say, he is still operating through his syndicate and carrying out several criminal activities.

The investigating agency has also summoned two brothers of Tito, who have reportedly fled the state, sources stated.

Earlier, on Saturday, the Crime Branch had arrested two sharpshooters SK Sayed & Babula Pati for having links with Tito. While Pati was nabbed from Kendrapara area, Sayed was arrested from Cuttack. More than 25 cases of loot and extortion are pending against them.

The agency is also likely to take Tito on remand for interrogation once again in connection with firing at brother of terror suspect Abdur Rehman.
