Beijing: Chinese authorities on Wednesday handed over a South Korean fugitive on Interpol's Most Wanted List to their South Korean counterparts.

The handover took place at Nanjing airport in China's Jiangsu province, Xinhua news agency reported.

Kang Taeyong, 54, allegedly extorted about $1.2 billion from more than 30,000 people in South Korea in 2007-08. He was arrested in China on October 10.
