Cyclone Montha To Cross Andhra Pradesh & Landfall Near Kakinada On October 28

The IMD has predicted that a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal will intensify into a cyclonic storm by October 27. Odisha is expected to witness heavy to very heavy rainfall from October 27 to 29, while Andhra Pradesh may face a stronger impact.

A low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm by October 27, according to IMD Bhubaneswar.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected across coastal and southern Odisha from October 27 to 29, while Andhra Pradesh may face the cyclone’s main impact.

Authorities have urged residents in vulnerable districts to stay alert as forecasts indicate wind speeds up to 70 kmph and widespread rain.
