In anticipation of Cyclone Montha and to ensure passenger safety, the Indian Railways has announced significant changes to train operations. As of 10:30 am on Tuesday, 42 trains have been cancelled, 2 trains diverted, 5 trains short-terminated or short-originated, and 8 trains rescheduled.
Among the important services affected, 11020 Konark Express has been cancelled for today.
Passengers are advised to check the latest train status before commencing travel and to avoid unnecessary journeys during the cyclone period.
To assist travellers, the Khurda Road Division has opened helpdesks at Palasa, Khurda Road, and Bhubaneswar, while the Waltair Division has established helpdesks at Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam Road, Duvvada, and Rayagada from October 27.
