Massive Fire Engulfs 30 Houses In Odisha's Pipili, Properties Worth Lakhs Gutted

More than 30 houses of 15 families at Alisa village under Puri district were reduced to ashes after a major fire broke out in the village late on Monday night. According to sources, the fire broke out at around 1.40 am at one of the houses and subsequently, it spread to other houses damaging properties worth lakhs. While a person sustained critical burn injuries in the mishap, the flame claimed the lives of three cattle.Though the exact reason behind fire mishap is not known, it is suspected that a short circuit might have caused the flames. Till the last report came in, the villagers and Fire Services personnel have managed to drench the flames.The district’s tehsildaar arrived at the scene in the morning to take stock of this situation.
