Israel-Hamas War: IDF Notifies Families Of 203 Hostages Held In Gaza, UK PM Condemns Terror Attacks
The Hamas has taken some 203 people as hostages since the conflict erupted. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has notified the families of 203 hostages in Gaza who were taken captive after the October 7 Hamas attack. Addressing a press conference, IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said the military could not ascertain the total number of hostages although it had varying degrees of confidence in its assessment. Hagari further said that the military had also notified the families of 306 soldiers who have been killed since the massive Hamas assault.Meanwhile, visiting British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Thursday reiterated that the UK stands with Israel. He also condemned the unprecedented October 7 Hamas attack on the Jewish nation as an "unspeakable, horrific act of terrorism".Sunak made the remarks while addressing reporters outside the airport in Tel Aviv. He is the third world leader to visit the war-torn nation after US President Joe Biden and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz on Tuesday made day-long trips on Tuesday.
