Odisha CHSE Plus-2 Results 2021: Over 90% Students Likely To Pass This Year

This year, the pass percentage of the annual Plus II examinations in Odisha is likely be over 90 per cent. Controller of Examinations of the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Bijay Kumar Sahoo informed this on Sunday. According to the CHSE official, the increase in pass percentage is due to the alternative assessment criteria adopted by the council this year.

CHSE adopted the alternative assessment criteria in view of the cancellation of the examination amid the ongoing second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. According to Bijay Kumar Sahoo, most students this year will either score almost equivalent or more marks in comparison to what they had secured in Class 10th examination.

The CHSE official also informed that more number of ex-regular students are expected to clear Plus II this year as compared to the previous years. On Friday, the CHSE had released an alternative assessment criterion for the Regular and Ex-Regular examinees of Annual Higher Secondary Examination, 2021, revealing that Class 10 marks will be the basis of the Plus-2 results.

The alternative assessment criterion was decided on the basis of the suggestion of the Expert Committee formed by the Odisha Government earlier.
