Police official accused of assaulting farmhouse owner, employee
A serious allegation of high-handedness has surfaced against a police Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI), who is accused of assaulting a farmhouse owner and his employee during the night.
The incident reportedly took place at the farmhouse of Bunes Kumar Parichha at Rangamatia under Udala Police Station in Mayurbhanj district.
According to the complaint, ASI Chhabila Pradhan, along with another police personnel and two young men, visited the farmhouse at night. They allegedly forcefully entered the premises and assaulted the owner and his employee.
As per sources, Bunes had allegedly refused to make a payment for some goods purchased from an individual, which led ASI Pradhan to forcibly take Bunes to the police station. Subsequently, Bunes was released after some time.
