The ‘very corrupt and high-flying’ IFS officer Abhay Kant Pathak may get compulsory retirement from his service. This was recommended by Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik in a letter to the Centre. It is for the first time that an All India Services Officer has been recommended by the Odisha Government for compulsory retirement on grounds of corruption, the CM mentioned in his letter.

Panic gripped the residents at Lunapahi village in Balasore district after some heavy object, believed to be a part of a missile fell in a nearby farmland close to human settlement.
