The construction of three new buildings as part a new common central secretariat has achieved three per cent physical progress, and Rs 243 crore has so far been spent on the project, according to the minister's reply.
Impasse continued for the seventh day of the Odisha Legislative Assembly’s winter session on Wednesday as Opposition party legislators created ruckus in the House over the Mamita Meher murder case.
Ahead of the Winter Session of the State legislature which is scheduled to start from December 1 and will be a stormy one, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Congress Tuesday had legislature party meetings to decide strategies to corner the ruling BJD government.

The suspended MPs include six from the Congress, two each from Trinamool Congress and Shiv Sena, and one each from CPI and CPM.

Earlier on November 23, Patro had announced that legislators will not be allowed to create ruckus or pandemonium during the Governor’s address and Question Hour in the upcoming Assembly session. He then had said that this is the unanimous decision at the 82nd AIPOC.
