An 11-member delegation of the ‘Vaidika Brahmana Parishad’ met the Governor at Raj Bhawan in Bhubaneswar and submitted the memorandum.

Along with new restrictions, a new darshan system will also be put in place. Devotees will not have to wait under the sun in queues for hours for darshan of the deities. They will have the facility of going under AC shed to Srimandir from Marichikote chhak.  

To end the sufferings of devotees who had to wait in long queues for hours in the sun to enter Srimandir, a fully air-conditioned shed is being constructed at the Grand Road, also known as Bada Danda.

With the controversy over YouTuber and Hindi blogger Kamiya Jani’s entry into Srimandir with 5T chairperson VK Pandian refusing to die down, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Odisha raised several questions and emphasized the need for a debate at all levels.

The controversy surrounding social media influencer Kamiya Jani is getting intense with each passing day. The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Monday demanded an investigation into the entry of Jani into Jagannath temple. 

The clarification comes after political parties and several religious outfits staged demonstration and trained guns on Odisha government by raising questions on the social media influencer’s visit to the sacred temple alleging that she was a promoter of beef.

The controversy over social media influencer Kamiya Jani doesn’t seem to die down. The Jagannath Sanskruti Suraksha Abhiyan on Saturday demanded action against 5T chairman VK Pandian and Jani. 

The state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday launched a scathing attack on the BJD-led government over the issue of social media influencer Kamiya Jani's entry into Puri Srimandir. 

The invitation will be sent to the Holy Trinity at Srimandir in a grand procession following all the traditional rituals.

Upon reaching Puri today, Chirag Chinubhai Patel of Ahmedabad in Gujarat got the two ‘chitas’ weighing about 1.75 kilograms consecrated by the chief of the Chhattisa Nijog Janarddan Pattajoshi and senior Singhari servitor Madhusudan Singhari.

Some works have already been undertaken, including the dismantling of the decorative wooden framed ceiling of the central column area which has been stored in the SJT Museum of the temple complex.

Devotees and servitors have demanded to ensure smooth and disciplined solemnisation of rituals of the deities on the day. 

Internationally acclaimed sand artist and member of the Srimandir Management Committee, Sudarsan Pattnaik on Saturday wrote a letter to Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik requesting him to save ancient artworks falling under the parikrama project. 

Devotees visiting the shrine will be encouraged to carry puja materials like flowers and bhogs in paper, cotton bags, bhogei, small bamboo containers, and small wooden baskets inside the temple, said SJTA chief administrator Ranjan Das.

Locals have raised objections to the road and wondered if this road will only meant for the VIP movement. A volley of questions has cropped over the project.
