Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently issued a special coin to commemorate the 90th year of the Reserve Bank of India. The special ₹90 denomination coin was unveiled to celebrate 90 years of the central bank.

The Prime Minister extended a facilitatory message on the occasion which was read by India's Permanent Representative to the UN, Ruchira Kamboj.

Speaking at the 90th anniversary celebrations of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the PM said that the country’s economy has risen in the last few years from the inherited mess of 2014 when the BJP government took office, and is now poised for take-off.

On Sunday, Prime Minister Modi said the Government of India under the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had ceded the Katchatheevu island to Sri Lanka in 1974.

“These elections are not just elections – they are a war against the corrupt. You have to decide whether you want corruption to end or not. Those who have come together in Delhi today think I will be afraid but my family is my country and nothing can deter me,” PM Modi said.

In a post on X, PM Modi said, "Eye opening and startling! New facts reveal how Congress callously gave away #Katchatheevu. This has angered every Indian and reaffirmed in people’s minds- we can’t ever trust Congress!

"Today, on Good Friday, we remember the profound sacrifice of Jesus Christ. May everyone find strength in the lessons of compassion and forgiveness it teaches us," the PM wrote on Twitter.

In an exclusive conversation with Microsoft Co-founder and billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates, PM Modi said that for him, the best use of technology is in areas like healthcare, agriculture and education.

Apart from motivating her, the Prime Minister spoke to her about campaign preparedness and assured her of full support from the party leadership.

“A vote for PM Narendra Modi will be the best gift you can give,” read the invitation with a photograph of the Prime Minister on the card.
