A cyclonic circulation is likely to emerge into northeast and adjoining east-central Bay of Bengal around October 1, IMD said on Tuesday. As per IMD, there is possibility of increase in rainfall activities in Odisha on October 2 and 3.
The low pressure area over Northwest Bay of Bengal is likely to become more marked in the next 2-3 days. As per the regional centre of the India Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar the system is likely to move west-northwestwards across Odisha, Jharkhand and North Chhattisgarh.
A low pressure area is likely to form over North Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood around June 11, 2021. This is likely to trigger very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in several parts of Odisha, warned the India Meteorological Department.
