The Odisha Government on Wednesday extended the partial lockdown, imposed to contain the spread of Covid infection in the State, till July 16  (6 am), informed the State Chief Secretary, Suresh Mohapatra.

Though the Covid-19 graphs in majority of districts in the State have waned, the situation is still far from satisfactory in some districts, especially in the coastal belts of Odisha.

Movement of buses for public transport has been restricted in the new unlocks plans. Similarly, taxis (including auto rickshaws and cycle rickshaws) and services of cab aggregators have been prohibited.

Here are the list of services that will be remain operational and suspended during the partial unlock period.

The partial lockdown will come into effect from June 17 (5 am) and will continue till July 1 (5 am).

The Odisha government has hinted at easing the restrictions as the Test Positivity Rate (TPR) continues to decline in the State.

Odisha government will review unlock measures only after assessing the present pandemic situation in the state. DMET (Directorate of Medical Education and Training) Chief, CBK Mohanty informed this on Monday (June 14).
