As per the gazette notification, the maximum limit of reservation of seats has been kept at 50 per cent for scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and backward class citizens in urban local bodies (ULBs)

Odisha Municipal Laws (Amendment) Bill 2021 was passed in the State Assembly, limiting the total reservation of seats to 50 per cent in favour of SC, ST and BCC.
