The deceased members included Padampur MLA Bijay Ranjan Singh Bariha and Dhamnagar MLA, Bishnu Charan Sethi. Other members who were paid tributes to are Golak Nayak, Kapil Tiwary, Gopanarayan Das and Adikanda Sethi.

The winter session of the Odisha Legislative Assembly will begin on November 24. The parliamentary affairs department has issued an official notification in this regard. As per the provisional calendar of sittings, the winter session of the State Assembly will continue till December 31. The session will have 33 working days.
The statement was given by the state tourism minister Ashwini Patra in the Monsoon Session of the Odisha Assembly on Monday.
