Amid the fluctuation in gold and silver rates across the country, the price for 24-carat gold per 10 gram reached Rs 52,700 on Monday in Bhubaneswar with a decrease of Rs 300 from Saturday’s price.

The rupee recovered early losses to close flat at 79.84 (provisional) against the US dollar on Monday amid a strong greenback overseas and massive sell-off in equities.

For 23-carat, the price of 10 grams of yellow metal reached Rs 52,100 while the rate of 22-carat gold reached 51,000.

Similarly, the rate of 20, 18 and 14-carat gold remained at Rs 46100, Rs 41800 and Rs 33100, respectively. Pure Ginni (gold coin) is being traded at Rs 42,000 on Saturday.

The rupee appreciated 26 paise to close at 79.65 (provisional) against the US dollar on Thursday, tracking a firm trend in the domestic equities.

With a market situation as volatile as now with global cues not so favourable for the investors, the price for 24-carat gold per 10 gram reached Rs 52,400 on Saturday in Bhubaneswar with an increase of Rs 300 from Friday’s price.

The rates of gold and silver may vary as per MCX and from dealer to dealer.

For 23-carat, the price of 10 grams of yellow metal is Rs 50,500 while the rate of 22-carat gold has reached 49,500.

On the other hand, 99.50 purity silver is being sold at Rs 61,000 per kg, while the rate of 999.9 purity silver has reached Rs 63,300 per kg on Monday.

On the other hand, one kilogram of silver is being sold at Rs 63,400 (With GST) in Bhubaneswar.
