Post landfall, even though Cyclone Yaas has gradually weakened, Odisha's Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) Pradeep Jena stated that strong winds and rainfall continue to persist in Nilagiri area of Balasore district.

As Cyclone Yaas made it's landfall in Odisha, coastal areas of Balasore experienced heavy rainfall and strong winds. These visuals from Balasore's Talsari area show sea water entering into houses along the coast.
