For the family of Hemant Das, the sky was so blue and serene but on May 26, suddenly everything changed. Clouds darkened over their fate just like the sky when hostile winds and torrential downpour made their life miserable.
To be exact, as many as 19,23,699 living in 2,722 villages in the 12 blocks of Balasore district have been affected by Cyclone Yaas.
Union Minister of State for MSME, Pratap Sarangi and National Vice President of BJP, Baijayant Panda today conducted an aerial survey of Balasore and Bhadrak districts which were battered by very severe cyclonic storm Yaas on May 26. Both the leaders assessed the damages caused by the storm which made landfall near Bahanaga coast of the district with hostile winds of around 150 kmph and torrential downpour.
Former Member of the Parliament and National Vice President of BJP, Baijayant Panda today reviewed the damages caused by very severe cyclonic storm Yaas in various areas of the coastal district.
