In a major goof-up, errors in a question set of History and Political Science paper were reported from several centres during the annual Class 10 board exams on Saturday. The examinees at Brudaban Government High School alleged that there were several questions from Set A in Set B question paper.
The students were left worried over such goof-up as the entire evaluation will be based on OMR sheet and there is every possibility that they will score less marks for such mistake.
Besides, the DEO has also removed centre superintendents of Kakatpur and Nayahata Girls high schools from examination duty and suspended Kakatpur Girls High School clerk for keeping his mobile phone on during the Matric and SOS examinations.
Around 2155 students had not appeared for the matriculation examination last year. According to sources, the absentee students are mostly from government schools. The matriculation examination is being conducted at 79 examination centres in Nabarangpur district this year.
As many as 5,41,247 students will be appearing for the matriculation or the Class 10 high school certificate examination at 3218 examination centres across the state.
BSE President, Ramashish Hazra on Thursday informed that as many as 5, 41, 247 students will be appearing for the matriculation or the Class 10 high school certificate examination in 3,218 examination centres across the state.
The scholarship test was conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha across the State on Monday.
Primary teachers who recently protested outside the office of Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha are going to face tough action. The BSE has urged the director of elementary education to take disciplinary action against 13 teachers who protested alleging irregularities in the special Odisha Teacher Eligibility Test (OTET).
Sharing the photographs and videos of the protest and names of 13 teachers, the board has requested the Director of Elementary Education to take disciplinary action against them for misconduct and dereliction of duty.
The teachers from different districts congregated at the BSE office and staged the demonstration demanding an award of grace marks or a reduction in pass percentage.
While addressing a presser at BSE office in Cuttack, BSE President informed that the summative 2 examination for class 10 high school students will start on March 10, 2023.
The CBSE CTET exam in Computer Based Mode (Online), which commenced on December 28, 2022, will continue till February 7, 2023.
However, the candidates cannot appear the OSSTET in their own district. Such a decision has been taken to put a check on incidents of malpractice and other unfair means during the conduct of the examination.
The application for the test will be received through online mode only from November 18, 2022 till November 30, 2022 midnight (24×7).
