There are numerous schemes for the poor in the state, but is the implementation up-to-the-mark? While the BJD-led Odisha government continues to boast of adequate healthcare facilities in the rural belt, the ground reality tells a different tale.
Yet again an instance of poor road connectivity affecting healthcare services in rural pockets has surfaced. Yet again an expectant mother was seen bearing the brunt of the alleged apathy of the government.

In an unfortunate incident, a patient died on her way to Burla hospital reportedly after the 108 ambulance carrying her broke down midway in Sambalpur on Monday (Sept 20).
