In a press conference on Sunday (April 11), Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that the state government was not in favour of imposing lockdown in the national capital, but ‘if the health system collapsed then lockdown would be the only option’. While discussing the new restrictions imposed in Delhi during its fourth wave, the chief minister urged the people to follow Covid appropriate behavior and the prescribed guidelines. He stressed on opting for home isolation if the Covid case is mild. Kejriwal also elaborated on the strong health care system at Delhi, stressing that Delhi is ready to tackle the next wave with the co-operation of the people and health care workers.

With India witnessing a massive surge in COVID-19 cases daily, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday (April 13) requested the Centre to consider cancelling CBSE Board exams for classes 10 and 12. Amid seemingly uncontrollable surge in Covid-19 cases in Delhi, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday (April 15) announced weekend curfew in the national capital. Delhi will go into weekend curfew with the exception of essential activities. Weddings will be allowed with curfew passes on Saturdays and Sundays.
