Sambalpur: Days after the body of album actress Simran was found under mysterious circumstances near Sambalpur, family members of the deceased have levelled serious allegations against the in-charge officer of Jharsuguda Police Station.

The family members of the deceased have alleged that Jhasketan Dhal, in-charge of Jharsuguda Police Station used foul language and misbehaved with them when they wanted to lodge a missing complaint prior to Simran's death.

"When I informed the cops that Simran is not receiving her phone, they used extremely foul language against my daughter that I can't even mention. I have completely lost faith in police after the incident," father of Simran, Birendra Singh said.

The matter came to light after a video of a conversation between the family members and the cops went viral. The video was reportedly shot on the day when the accused cop along with a lady police official had visited the residence of the actress after Simran was found dead. The recorded conversation shows that the exasperated family members are accusing the concerned cop of not listening to them and using foul language.

"No formal complaint has been lodged in this regard but we have received some video clippings. We have informed the Superintendent of Police. In case of any lapses action will be taken," DIG (Northern Range) Satyabrat Bhoi said.
