Bhubaneswar: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday slammed the Odisha Government over its 5Ts mantra of governance and said that the government is making a publicity stunt out of the work that it is ordinarily supposed to do.

Coming down heavily on the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD), Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi said, "Why this 5T after 20 years of rule. The on-going process is the regular working process of the government. I had been an officer, it's the duty of officials to visit hospitals, schools and other offices to check whether all the government schemes and yojanas are being properly implemented or not. What's the big deal."

Launching a scheme to implement other schemes is laughable as implementation of schemes is the duty and responsibility of the government, said the parliamentarian adding, "There is no chance that the scheme (5T) will last for long."

State BJP vice-president Samir Mohanty alleged that through the 'Mo Sarkar' yojana, which is based on 5T model of governance, the ruling-BJD is trying to boost 'brand Naveen'. "The 5Ts secretary is visiting hospitals along with other officials, but neither health secretary & minister nor local MLAs are seen anywhere. What does the Odisha government trying to convey with such visits? " Mohanty questioned.

Responding to the allegations, senior ruling-BJD leader Ananta Das said that Mo Sarkar doesn't relate to any individual, it means people's government. "The officials are visiting the hospitals to check whether government schemes are properly implemented under the 'Mo Sarkar' scheme or not," said Das.

On BJD ministers not visiting hospitals, Das said, "I can't say why they are not visiting... They might be busy in some other work."
