A war of words has escalated between Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi over developmental issues in Bhubaneswar. While Patnaik has criticized Sarangi for obstructing projects, Sarangi has challenged him to a public debate on the matter.

BJP MP Aparajita Sarangi refutes CM Naveen Patnaik's allegations that she stalled the Lingaraj temple project, claiming the accusations are baseless and supported by a false narrative. Meanwhile, BJP Vice-President Baijayant Panda alleges the CM's recent criticisms are AI-generated DeepFake videos, questioning their authenticity and urging media scrutiny.

BJP's Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha candidate Aparajita Sarangi criticized BJD leader VK Pandian for making negative comments on PM Modi and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan. She challenged BJD MPs to disclose their performance reports, highlighting a demand for political accountability.

The senior saffron party leader made it clear that employment to every person, irrigation to every land and roofs over everyone’s heads will be ensured if the BJP is voted to power in Odisha.

During her campaign at Ananda Ban Park here on Sunday, the BJP leader said, "I have prepared a report card on the developmental works that I have done in my constituency in the last five years. The report cards are being distributed to people." 

As per her report card, out of the total 14,317 complaints, 12,598 have been resolved. That is 88 percent of the public grievances, which have been resolved by Sarangi.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla expelled Moitra after the tabling of a report by the Lok Sabha Ethics Committee which recommended her expulsion. Opposition members staged a walkout of Lok Sabha as the House voted to expel TMC MP Mahua Moitra for 'unethical conduct'.

The senior BJP leader also said that the move by the ruling party was clearly with a malicious intent to help some non-Odia land grabbers and select corporates.

In the letter, Sarangi wrote that Deras MIP irrigation canal has been blocked. Out of the 1850 mts of the canal, more than 1707 mts have been cleared. However, more than 100 mts is yet to be cleared.

The crematorium, which has two chambers for simultaneous cremation, has been made in collaboration with the Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL). The Central government PSU has supplied all the equipment including supply pipes and burners through which CNG will be fired.

Taking to her Twitter, Sarangi came down heavily on the conch party alleging that the State government employees are delivering speech in Biju Yuva Janata Dal programme while master book keepers of Self Help Groups (SHG) are taking pledge to follow the directives of MLAs.

On the other hand, BJD advised the saffron party to stop indulging in unnecessary allegations and instead reach out to people instead.

The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has directed Odisha chief secretary Pradeep Jena to take appropriate action against an IAS officer of Odisha-cadre, on basis of a complaint filed by Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi and Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal.

Commenting on the issue, BJD said that Soumya Ranjan Patnaik is giving such kind of opinion, as he wants to join BJP.
